Sales Engineering Director

Requirements and Responsibilities
Leads and directs teams of engineers that advise and support sales teams with pricing estimates and implementation guidance based on customer requirements. Evaluates sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Designs and implements plans and procedures to estimate the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the product or solution. Develops and delivers technical product presentations or sales briefings for potential customers. Collaborates with implementation teams to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions or deliver customer training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
