| Requirements and Responsibilities |
| Supervises a team that provides category insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and customer data and monitoring relevant market conditions. Implements the overall strategy for a product category, and researches new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve targets. Analyzes and assesses category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. Conducts market-specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions and influence management. Monitors competitor pricing and adjusts strategies accordingly. May develop special arrangements with vendors to enhance product promotions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
