Requirements and Responsibilities |
Plans and oversees an organization's marketing objectives, strategies, programs, and policies. Translates the overall marketing vision into integrated business plans, tactics, and deliverables. Assists with developing marketing goals, budgets, and strategies and ensures alignment with greater business goals. Provides budgetary oversight and controls to marketing initiatives and delegates resources and teams to execute short-term and long-term marketing plans. Plans and directs critical marketing functions, including market research, communications, and product planning. Evaluates and improves operational processes and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Chief Marketing Officer. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head. |
