Requirements and Responsibilities
Plans and directs all aspects of an organization's tax policies and objectives. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations while working to minimize tax liability and maximize after tax profits. Requires a bachelor's degree. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to top management. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
