Requirements and Responsibilities
Plans and directs compensation and benefits policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops and administers all compensation and benefits programs designed to attract and retain employees. Ensures compensation and benefits programs remain within budgetary constraints. Monitors trends and provides recommendations for improvements. Oversees HRIS systems and consults with legal and financial professionals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
