Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) laws by monitoring transactions, investigating suspicious activity, and filing reports with government authorities. Uses data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. May lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Stays current on banking regulations such as the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and/or other governmental anti-money laundering laws. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.
