Technical Customer Support Supervisor

Requirements and Responsibilities
Supervises a technical support team that respond to requests from customers by phone, e-mail, or chat. Manages the daily workload to ensure required service volume and quality levels are attained. Trains staff in products, features, standard policies, and best practices. Identifies opportunities for operational improvements and implements solutions. Monitors queues, response times, and staff performance. Responds to escalated issues to develop and communicate solutions for complex or critical issues. Has a high level and up to date knowledge of products. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
