| Requirements and Responsibilities |
| Manages the utilization of advanced or innovative technologies to optimize and improve manufacturing processes for a production facility. Leads the adoption and implementation of new technologies such as robotics or automation to reduce costs, improve overall efficiency, and expand manufacturing capabilities. Plans and oversees technical feasibility testing to validate solutions and ensure consistent, high-quality results. Implements policies and procedures to guide workflow, define quality standards, and ensure compliance with industry or safety regulations. Collaborates with vendors to coordinate materials, timelines, and schedules to support product design and project deadlines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
