Requirements and Responsibilities |
Oversees, plans, and directs all aspects of an organization's efforts to achieve growth through mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Identifies, analyzes, and determines feasibility of possible mergers and evaluates their potential impact on the corporation's growth and profitability. Participates in merger and acquisition negotiations. May direct and oversee mergers and acquisitions staff. Typically requires a MBA or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head. |
