Shop Service Technician I

Requirements and Responsibilities
Repairs and maintains heavy equipment including engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. Removes, disassembles, cleans, and reassembles components. Uses service manuals to understand issues and selects the proper tools and protocols for an assignment. Diagnoses issues and performs failure analyses. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
