Requirements and Responsibilities
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation. May supervise and guide lower-level business systems analysts. Incumbents function as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
