| Requirements and Responsibilities |
| Researches, analyzes, and designs information systems to meet the needs of an organization and that will integrate with existing and future systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures, problems, and requirements. Designs models and utilizes analysis and solution development methods, including process maps, flow charts, and diagrams. Scopes project costs and timelines. Documents installation, maintenance, and operating procedures. May create coding and logic specifications for developers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience. |
