Innovation Director

Requirements and Responsibilities
Advances the vision, strategy, and thinking methodologies used to innovate new products and services, introduce novel or disruptive ideas, improve existing processes, and create a culture of innovation within the company. Embraces an innovation strategy and defines and implements objectives and measures aligned with overall company goals that add value to stakeholders. Directs and champions innovation projects and oversees resources and budgets. Seeks out new opportunities with partners or alliances that support innovation efforts. Collaborates with internal teams and provides training resources to promote a culture of innovation that encourages and supports experimentation and rewards new ideas and ways of thinking. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
