Top Systems Architecture Executive oversees all aspects of the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Creates the strategy, design, and vision of the entire systems architecture function. Being a Top Systems Architecture Executive ensures that systems are designed to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Evaluates system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Additionally, Top Systems Architecture Executive identifies and researches potential technology products to enhance solution delivery. Develops strategies and policies to meet overall business goals. Collaborates with vendors or third-party service providers to negotiate and acquire essential software/hardware to maintain systems architecture. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Top Systems Architecture Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
