Systems Architecture Manager manages the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Ensures that systems are designed to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Being a Systems Architecture Manager evaluates system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Additionally, Systems Architecture Manager participates in creating strategies and policies to meet overall business goals. Oversees implementation of architecture system and advises adjustments to top management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Systems Architecture Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Systems Architecture Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
