Reliability Engineering Manager provides day-to-day leadership and expertise in reliability engineering activities that analyze and evaluate the reliability of products, equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools. Aligns people, resources, and methods with the critical objectives for reliability in product design standards and operational goals. Being a Reliability Engineering Manager develops capacity for analysis, testing, and measurement that produce effective risk-based failure mitigation plans and actionable proposals for new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes, and testing specifications. Leads and coaches teams in problem-solving, best practices, and process improvement to achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, Reliability Engineering Manager requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Reliability Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Reliability Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
