Requirements and Responsibilities

Production Control Clerk II performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Being a Production Control Clerk II tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. Additionally, Production Control Clerk II requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Control Clerk II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Production Control Clerk II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
