Requirements and Responsibilities

Metallurgical Engineer II designs and initiates processes for the manufacturing of metals from ores and for the operation of the related production equipment. Performs analysis and tests to aid in the development of new and improved metals and alloys as well as their applications to various products. Being a Metallurgical Engineer II requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Metallurgical Engineer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
