Requirements and Responsibilities

Grant Administration Supervisor supervises the day-to-day administration and financial control of grant activity throughout the grant lifecycle for awarded or received grants to ensure compliance with grant provisions, regulations, and reporting requirements. Monitors grantee management and disbursement of grant funds for grants that are being awarded. Being a Grant Administration Supervisor reviews grantee programs for compliance with the terms of grants and verifies that the funds are being allocated appropriately. For grants received, oversees the preparation of all financial reporting and accounting related to the grant funding. Additionally, Grant Administration Supervisor tracks expenses and performs reconciliations related to grant accounts. Compiles and submits any data or documentation required by the grant funder. Ensures that the organization follows grant accounting best practices and complies with legal regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Grant Administration Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Grant Administration Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
