ERP Configuration Director oversees the programming and configuration functions to support the implementation of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Provides strategic direction to guide the planning and deployment of new ERP applications or updates to ensure reliability, security, and functionality. Being an ERP Configuration Director serves as point of knowledge for department objectives and complex ERP programming and configuration questions. Designs policies and procedures to guide ERP system programming and ensure the optimal function of ERP applications to support business goals. Additionally, ERP Configuration Director coordinates with senior management and business leaders to understand current and future business needs and develop business strategy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The ERP Configuration Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an ERP Configuration Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
