Requirements and Responsibilities

Copywriting Supervisor supervises a group of copywriters who write, proofread, and edit content for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media). Reviews all assignments before publication to ensure material meets style guidelines and brand voice for messaging. Being a Copywriting Supervisor monitors accuracy and ensures documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Manages project tasks and timelines. Additionally, Copywriting Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Copywriting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Copywriting Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
