Chief Innovation Officer develops the vision, strategy, and thinking methodologies used to innovate new products and services, introduce novel or disruptive ideas, improve existing processes, and create a culture of innovation within the company. Articulates an innovation strategy and defines objectives and measures aligned with overall company goals that add value to stakeholders. Being a Chief Innovation Officer champions innovation projects and oversees resources and budgets. Seeks out new opportunities with partners or alliances that support innovation efforts. Additionally, Chief Innovation Officer collaborates with internal teams and promotes a culture of innovation that encourages and supports experimentation and rewards new ideas and ways of thinking. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Defines corporate vision and strategy establishes company direction and focus. Executes multiple high impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goals.
