CAE Designer II utilizes computer-aided engineering (CAE) software tools to support and optimize the design engineering process for products, components, or structures. Creates prototypes, layouts and models for product components, a system, or a manufacturing process using CAE tools. Being a CAE Designer II performs analysis to find flaws or inefficiencies in designs and to model solutions. Collects and assembles data. Additionally, CAE Designer II employs CAE tools to enable benchmarking, concept design, prototype development, simulation, and testing protocols. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The CAE Designer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a CAE Designer II typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
