Requirements and Responsibilities

CAD Support Technician I provides computer-aided design (CAD) support. Creates preliminary drafting files from notes or sketches, assists engineers and designers with the completion of drawings, and executes basic CAD file modification. Being a CAD Support Technician I communicates with engineers and designers to aid in the completion of projects. Helps transform initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Additionally, CAD Support Technician I maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The CAD Support Technician I works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
