Requirements and Responsibilities

Assistant Branch Manager II assists the branch manager in the daily operations of a retail banking branch office. Performs routine branch opening, closing, customer service, and other operational tasks and activities. Being an Assistant Branch Manager II assumes responsibility for the supervision of the branch office during the manager's absence. Assists in training and managing branch staff. Additionally, Assistant Branch Manager II ensures that branch operations follow all company policies and procedures. Maintains the required security, operational, and service quality standards. Usually has completed a bank management training program. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a branch manager. The Assistant Branch Manager II supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Assistant Branch Manager II typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
