VP of Engineering

Requirements and Responsibilities
Provides leadership and oversight to develop or improve technical products, systems, or processes that meet specified requirements and standards. Oversees engineering practices, systems, and designs to ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Monitors and refines engineering processes, tools, and systems to ensure operational efficiency and quality of solutions. Assists with planning and implementing engineering objectives, processes, and budgets to ensure activities align with the organization's strategy. Collaborates with senior leaders to develop engineering strategies, including facilities planning, manufacturing process design, the application of new technologies, and maintenance. Coordinates vendors and external partners to ensure availability, reliability, and quality of sourced materials or technology. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
