Truck Dispatch Supervisor, Sr.

Requirements and Responsibilities
Supervises the dispatching of trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Tracks deliveries via computer systems and monitors communication lines to assist with complex or immediate questions. Reviews driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data to evaluate driver performance. Ensures dispatchers and drivers are educated and compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.
