Transportation Supervisor

Requirements and Responsibilities
Supervises and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Manages daily routing, scheduling, and fleet operations for timely deliveries. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems. Audits transportation processes to identify inefficiencies and ensure activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborates with supply and logistics teams to understand constraints and accurately plan and schedule deliveries. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.
