| Requirements and Responsibilities |
| Supervises activities in the claims department to ensure efficient and accurate handling of assigned claims. Assigns and monitors caseloads to balance workload and meet established service and quality standards. Reviews claims decisions, reserves, and settlements to verify accuracy and adherence to authority limits. Provides coaching, training, and day-to-day technical guidance to support staff development and performance. Resolves escalated claims issues and complex inquiries from claimants, policyholders, and providers. Ensures compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. |
