Land Surveying Technician

Requirements and Responsibilities
Assists land surveyors in the collection of field data. Helps in surveying land surfaces to determine precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. May perform project research and boundary calculations. Documents accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
