| Requirements and Responsibilities |
| Leads and manages a team of engineers responsible for providing solutions to environmental issues. Implements policies and procedures related to air, water, and land systems. Oversees environmental experiments, analyzes report findings, and reviews recommended corrective actions. Monitors project deliverables, timelines, and milestones to increase efficiency. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are followed by the team. Monitors the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
