Requirements and Responsibilities
Manages an organization's demand planning and forecasting activities to support production operations, supply chain execution, and business objectives. Oversees forecasting methodologies, tools, and assumptions to improve forecast accuracy, reduce variability, and ensure responsiveness to changing business or market conditions. Evaluates forecast performance to identify bias, bad assumptions, or missing information and recommends corrective actions. Collaborates with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to incorporate promotional activity, seasonality, and market intelligence forecasts into operational planning. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
