Civil Engineering Technologist II

Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsible for applying engineering principles in the implementation of products, systems, and processes. Works with civil engineers in the planning, designing, and building of infrastructure and development projects. Helps engineers in the planning of construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Estimates workload to establish project deadlines and helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Responsible for recommending maintenance, repair, and preparing reports for review by an engineer. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related degree. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
