| Requirements and Responsibilities |
| Establishes the overall objectives and initiatives of an engineering department. Develops ideas for new products or product enhancements and oversees the creation and improvement of products researched by the engineering department. Provides engineering expertise to other departments, such as marketing, where needed. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to top management or a CEO. Top level or C level management. Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Defines corporate vision and strategy establishes company direction and focus. Executes multiple high impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goals. |
