Requirements and Responsibilities
Plans and directs all aspects of a division's marketing and sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops and oversees the sales function, ensuring the department employees and sales plan are organized to achieve maximum sales volume. Develops and oversees the marketing function, identifying key marketing outlets and competitive strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. Typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.
