Material Coordinator I coordinates the transfer of raw materials, parts, and finished products between the source and final destination. Monitors material requirements and tracks movement with purchasing, production, and warehouses. Being a Material Coordinator I ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules or inventory requirements. Inputs data into a system or database to produce reporting and demand estimates. Additionally, Material Coordinator I requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Material Coordinator I works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
