Requirements and Responsibilities

Environmental Engineering Technician II conducts analysis of soil, groundwater, or atmospheric samples to determine if pollutants are present and implements appropriate corrective action if necessary. Performs environmental compliance audits and risk assessments. Being an Environmental Engineering Technician II requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Engineering Technician II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
