Drilling Engineer III is responsible for the design and implementation of oil and gas wells. Performs design evaluations and recommends alterations to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Being a Drilling Engineer III may conduct risk assessment and cost estimation. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Drilling Engineer III is familiar with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures. May lead or direct the work of others. May report to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Drilling Engineer III typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
