Requirements and Responsibilities

Database Administrator II manages and maintains the company database of medium to high complexity. Optimizes database configuration and access. Being a Database Administrator II resolves database performance and capacity issues. Performs database recovery and back-up. Additionally, Database Administrator II may involve in some development work. May require a bachelor's degree of computer discipline or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Database Administrator II gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. To be a Database Administrator II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
