Requirements and Responsibilities
Designs, implements, and enforces security policies that protect systems and data from access by unauthorized users. Creates procedures for data access, protection, and backup. Investigates security violations and modifies procedures to prevent future incursions. Reviews changes to information systems to ensure compliance with security standards. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
