System Documentation Manager

Requirements and Responsibilities
Manages the production of functional, configuration, and user interface documentation for computer software and hardware products. Develops and deploys standardized documentation methods and tools to efficiently produce high-quality content. Establishes processes for effective document control. Plans and directs documentation projects and timelines. May act as final approver or editor for projects. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
