Purchasing Supervisor

Requirements and Responsibilities
Supervises the daily activities of the purchasing function. Maintains relationship with vendors or suppliers and negotiates contracts for more complex purchase order. Evaluates and analyzes purchasing trend and price trend to identify forecasting demand and minimize purchasing costs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
