Electrician II
Also referred to as: Intermediate Level Electrician, Electrician II
Requirements and Responsibilities
Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. Uses a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Has at least two years of journeyman level electrical experience. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically requires an Electrician's license from the state. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
