Translator

Requirements and Responsibilities
Translates written and spoken information from one language to another. Reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Must be well versed in vocabulary dealing with specialty. Must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
