| Requirements and Responsibilities |
| Assists the corporate controller in directing the organization's accounting functions including cost, payables, and reporting. Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning and budgeting systems. Oversees the preparation of periodic reporting and required legal filings. Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization. May coordinate with auditors. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
