Finance Director

Requirements and Responsibilities
Directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. May require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (cfo). Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
