Environmental Engineering Manager

Requirements and Responsibilities
Manages a team of engineers responsible for providing solutions to environmental issues. Implements policies and procedures related to air, water, and land systems. Oversees environmental experiments, analyzes report findings, and reviews recommended corrective actions. Monitors project deliverables, timelines, and milestones to increase efficiency. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are followed by the team. Monitors the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
