Designer II

Requirements and Responsibilities
Applies engineering or architectural principles to the design of buildings/structures and their components or assemblies. Prepares creative designs or related drawings or details; uses designs to develop specifications or estimates of materials needed for a project. May perform drafting duties requiring the use of CAD equipment or systems. Provides guidance to more junior designers or to drafters. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
