Requirements and Responsibilities
Plans and directs compensation and benefits policies, objectives, and initiatives. Engages in high-level strategic planning of compensation and benefits programs designed to attract and retain employees. Ensures compensation and benefits programs remain within budgetary constraints and align with organizational goals. Monitors trends, provides recommendations, and suggests initiatives. Consults with legal and financial professionals to ensure compliant and financially sound programs. Evaluates vendors, negotiates and completes contracts. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
