Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr.
|
|
Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft airframe and engine to ensure aircraft conformance with FAA regulations. Troubleshoots and determines malfunctioning parts. Recommends part changes or adjustments to aircraft specifications to improve engine performance. Documents and maintains paperwork for maintenance according to regulations. Requires a high school degree, an airplane mechanics license, and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
